Kyoto University research grant sponsors ELC staff to participate in the Summer Boot Camp on Infectious Disease Modeling, hosted by Kyoto University’s School of Public Health and Graduate School of Medicine between August 1-10, 2024. This opportunity was the first of its kind extended at no-cost to DPHSS.

The Summer Boot Camp is an intensive introduction to epidemiological models for infectious diseases. Over 40 individuals attended including researchers, medical professionals, public health, and statisticians across 6 countries in the Asia and Pacific region. ELC staff gained valuable insights to infectious disease dynamics, application of models to datasets, and various peer research topics.
