The GCEC is seeking applicants for the unclassified position of Executive Director. The applicant will carry out all statutory responsibilities and administrative duties, including working with budgets and liaison with the Legislature in order to maintain the work of the Certification Office. While there are minimum and preferred qualifications listed below, the GCEC Commissioners invite those applicants interested to apply for the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Education, Public Administration or related area from a US regionally accredited institution;
Professional experience in a K-12 school system, or at a teacher preparation School of College;
Government administrative experience;
Familiarization evaluating academic records.
Preferred Qualifications:
experience in Human Resources;
experience in teacher/educator preparation programs;
experience in developing and defending a Government of Guam budget;
work experience in a public school environment;
active in professional associations;
terminal degree from a US regionally accredited institution.
